Health, Vaccination & Documentation Policy
Our Health Commitment
At Dog It Up, the health, readiness, and transparency associated with every pet are taken seriously. We understand that bringing a pet home is an emotional decision, but it must also be an informed one. For this reason, our health-related practices are designed to support responsible placement, honest communication, and greater confidence for pet parents. We are committed to maintaining health clarity, age-appropriate readiness, and proper documentation support wherever applicable.
Health as a Core Responsibility
We believe that no pet should be placed casually or carelessly. Before any adoption or placement is considered, we emphasise the importance of veterinary oversight, physical readiness, and basic health review. Dog It Up is committed to helping ensure that pets associated with our process are treated responsibly and considered for placement only when they are medically and practically ready for transition into a new home.
Veterinary Health Review
Before adoption, every puppy or kitten is expected to undergo a veterinary health review or health assessment appropriate to its stage and condition. This process helps establish a basic level of readiness for placement and supports responsible transparency. Only pets that are considered fit for placement, to the best of the applicable review and available information, are moved forward in the process. While no living being can be represented with unrealistic guarantees, Dog It Up strongly believes in responsible health screening and honest communication.
Age-Appropriate Placement
We do not support the placement of pets before they are appropriately weaned, stable, and reasonably ready to transition into a new environment. Early separation, rushed movement, or emotionally and physically premature placement can create unnecessary stress for the animal and difficulty for the family. For this reason, readiness is not determined only by demand, but by welfare considerations and responsible timing.
Vaccination Protocol Awareness
Every pet placed through Dog It Up is expected to be age-appropriately vaccinated as per the relevant stage and schedule applicable at the time. We believe vaccination awareness is a key part of responsible pet parenting, and therefore we aim to help families understand the role of early preventive care, follow-up schedules, and ongoing veterinary responsibility after placement.
Deworming Practices
Deworming is an important part of early animal care and health support. Wherever applicable, pets are dewormed as per schedule and stage, and this information may be shared with pet parents through available records or communication. We encourage all families to continue recommended veterinary follow-ups after adoption and to maintain their own record of routine health care.
Medical Readiness and Transparency
Dog It Up values honest health communication. We do not believe in presenting animals through exaggerated claims, incomplete information, or avoidable concealment. Wherever applicable and available, we aim to share relevant health details, readiness information, and guidance with pet parents so they can make informed choices. Our goal is to create trust through clarity, not through sales language.
Parent and Background Details
Where available and applicable, Dog It Up may provide details related to the parents or family line, breed information, and relevant background clarity. This may help pet parents better understand lineage, care expectations, and general breed suitability. While the level of detail may vary by case, our commitment remains to support informed decisions rather than superficial selection.
Health Records and Supporting Documents
Depending on the individual case and the available records, documentation support may include vaccination details, deworming records, breed-related information, parent-related information where applicable, and other basic paperwork relevant to responsible placement. We encourage families to retain all records carefully and continue documenting future vaccinations, consultations, and health updates after bringing the pet home.
Passport and Travel-Related Documentation
Where applicable, Dog It Up may also assist pet parents with passport-related or travel-related documentation guidance. This can be particularly relevant for municipal licensing, domestic travel, relocation, or international movement requirements. Such support is intended to help families understand what may be required, although final approvals always remain subject to the relevant authorities and compliance processes.
No Misleading Representation
Dog It Up does not support misleading representation in relation to health, sourcing, readiness, documentation, or breed history. We believe pet parents should have access to meaningful information, not pressure-based persuasion. We strongly encourage all pet parents to ask questions, review records, maintain veterinary continuity, and approach pet adoption with both love and responsibility.
Shared Responsibility After Placement
Once a pet is brought home, health responsibility continues with the pet parent. This includes maintaining vaccination follow-ups, routine veterinary visits, hygiene practices, nutrition, observation of behaviour, and timely attention to symptoms or discomfort. Dog It Up supports the beginning of the journey, but the long-term well-being of the pet depends on consistent care, attention, and responsible parenting after adoption.
